– Good posture

The screens you work with should have good quality, and free of defects, such as low definition or flickering. And don’t forget to put them in a place where they can avoid reflexes.

In addition to this, the brightness and contrast must be right (neither too much nor too little), the font size and images correct (enlarge them if they are too small) and the screen, of course, must be clean and in good condition.

When our body asks us to stop, it is usually because we need it.

However, even if it doesn’t ask us to, it is usually a good practice to anticipate exhaustion and give ourselves frequent short breaks before it is too late.

At the ocular level, breaks will facilitate our relaxation and prevent factors such as dry eyes. Some practices, such as closing your eyes for a few seconds, blinking a few times, or focusing at longer distances (for example, looking through a window) will help us in the process. But it’s all about resting your eyes; so don’t even think about using interruptions to look at your mobile phone or other screens!

– Your glasses

Sometimes we think that if we already use glasses, we can forget about the visual problem because it has already been solved. And that’s a mistake.
